The pot is a straight-walled cylinder with a sleepy embroidered face and a ridge below the rim; each plant is built on its own unstuffed soil cap. An unsewn cap can lift off only if its actual fit is stable; otherwise sew it to the rim for a fixed display. Equal counts do not guarantee an interchangeable fit. The poinsettia is eight pointed bracts radiating flat from a magic ring. The fir tree is a ridged cone worked from the tip down, with a chain garland wound down it in an open spiral. The christmas cactus is nine flat pads joined end to end into three arching strings. Three constructions, one pot, and a shelf that does not have to be cleared in January.

This download includes all 3 patterns shown in one PDF.

What you get

3 written patterns in one 18-page PDF

Written in US crochet terms, beginner friendly

A stitch count at the end of every round — calculated from the
pattern by script, never typed in by hand, so no round can contradict
        the one before it

An abbreviations table giving the UK equivalent of every stitch, and technique notes — our dc is a UK treble, so read it first if you crochet in UK terms

Instant download — the file is yours the moment you check out

Patterns in this file

Christmas Cactus Pot — About 7.0 cm of pot wall, not total height

Fir Tree Pot — About 7.0 cm of pot wall, not total height

Poinsettia Pot — About 7.0 cm of pot wall, not total height

You will need

Worsted / aran (#4) yarn in the colours each pattern lists

5.0 mm hook

tapestry needle

stitch marker

polyester fibrefill

Want the rest?

Every pattern on this page is also in 37 in 1 Christmas Bundle — 37 patterns in one 129-page file for $19.90.

Before you buy

This is a digital pattern, not a finished pot buddy — nothing is posted to
you.
