Ten dressed teddy bears, one crochet PDF
Make a cuddly beige bear with a cream muzzle, brown embroidered nose and a colourful hooded outfit. Blue Boy, Pink Hearts, Bunny Hood, Dino Hood, Lion Hood, Strawberry, Sailor, Duckling, Santa and Unicorn share one continuous bear body and head and one hooded-overalls pattern. Their colours, hood features and sewn extras give each bear a different character.

Materials: sport weight (category 2), smooth 100% cotton in one strand, about 160 m per 50 g; a 2.5 mm hook; polyester fibrefill; embroidery yarn; two 12 mm safety eyes or embroidered eyes; one 10 mm flat button; tapestry needle, scissors, markers, pins and measuring tape. The PDF gives yarn buying allowances for every design, including 90 g Main and 25 g Trim for the outfit, plus the bear and extra colours.
Skill: confident beginner to intermediate. Techniques include spiral sc rounds, turned sc and hdc rows, joined garment rounds, increases, decreases, flattened closures, chain loops, sewing and face embroidery.
Size: bear about 21.9 cm from ear to toe at the stated gauge; dressed heights about 22.5-23.8 cm with the hood details arranged as directed. The gauge is 26 sc and 32 sc rows or rounds per 10 cm, with 20 hdc rows per 10 cm. Yarn, tension, stuffing and assembly affect size. The outfit is buttoned on and can be taken off with care.
Safe use: safety eyes and small parts are not for children under 3. For babies and toddlers, use embroidered eyes, omit the button and cord, sew every part securely and sew the dressed outfit closed. Keep soft toys out of a baby's sleep space. Check seams before each use and follow yarn and filling labels for care.
Digital crochet instructions only; finished bears, yarn, tools, eyes and buttons are not included.
