Twenty little dogs, one crochet PDF
Crochet a small companion for your keys or bag. Classic Puppy, Beagle, Corgi, Dachshund, Poodle, Golden Retriever, Husky, Chihuahua, French Bulldog, Shih Tzu, Pomeranian, Dalmatian, Pug, Shiba Inu, Border Collie, Black Labrador, Yorkshire Terrier, Schnauzer, Bernese Mountain Dog and Samoyed share a rounded one-piece head and body. Floppy, pointed, folded and textured ears, colour bands, sewn markings and shaped tails give each dog its own character.

Materials: DK cotton, a 2.0 mm hook, polyester fibrefill, tapestry needle, scissors, pins, removable stitch markers and measuring tape. Use a pair of 6 mm safety eyes, or embroider the eyes for keychains given to children. Black yarn supplies the nose and mouth. For each keychain, add a 15 mm split ring and a small lobster clasp, or omit both and use the reinforced yarn loop alone. A 2.5 mm hook is an option for a slightly larger version; check the new gauge and eye fit.
Skill: Confident beginner. Techniques include spiral sc rounds, turned rows, increases, decreases, BLO and FLO, a one-top three-dc bobble, folded closing edges, whole-round colour changes, small sewn pieces and embroidery.
Size: about 6.5-7.6 cm tall at the stated gauge, within a 6-8 cm size range. The body is about 2.7 cm across and the head about 3.4 cm across. Measure from the body base to the crown or highest upright ear, excluding the yarn hanger, split ring and clasp. Keep feet, tails, top bows and fluffy details within that outline. Your yarn, gauge, stuffing and assembly determine the final size.
A keychain is an accessory, not a toy. Keep small parts and yarn loops away from children and pets. Use embroidered eyes for children and keep the finished accessory out of reach of young children. Follow the cotton yarn label for care. Digital crochet instructions only; no finished dogs, yarn, stuffing or hardware are included.
