Four quiet Christmas scenes for a shelf or mantel
Make a Holy Family with Mary, Joseph and the swaddled infant beneath a tall star arch; a white-and-gold Guardian Angel cradling the infant; three Wise Men in red, blue and green with crowns and gifts; or a Shepherd with a crook and two small lambs. Every figure has a plain, faceless round head and draped crochet clothing.
Pattern details
This 60-page English PDF includes all four complete scenes. Shared body, hood, mantle, head and infant instructions are printed once, followed by each scene's counted details and assembly.

Materials and size
Use smooth worsted / Aran weight (#4) cotton, one strand, with a 3.5 mm hook at 18 sc and 20 rows over 10 cm. Add filling, a yarn needle, markers, pins, wire cutters, pliers, tape, covered 22-gauge body wires, 16-gauge arch or crook wires where required, 3 cm halo rings where required, thin felt and stiff card or plastic base inserts. Exact wire cuts and per-colour yarn allowances are included.
Approximate heights including the base: Holy Family 21.0 cm; Guardian Angel 18.6 cm; Three Wise Men 19.1 cm; Shepherd & Lambs 18.6 cm. Base footprints are about 19.1 cm round, 12.7 cm round, 21.7 x 10.6 cm oval and 17.0 cm round. Gauge, filling and arranging affect the final size.

Confident beginner / intermediate, with Guardian Angel the easiest scene and Holy Family having the most parts. These are decorative display pieces for a mantel or shelf, not toys. Keep wire ends covered and keep the scenes beyond children and pets, away from heat and water. Dust gently and lift by the base.
