Materials and finished sizes
Use Worsted / Aran weight (#4) cotton or a cotton-blend, a 4.0 mm hook for bodies and shoulder straps, and a 3.5 mm hook for small motifs. Body gauge: 18 sc and 20 rows per 10 cm. Small-part gauge: 22 sc and 24 rows per 10 cm. Add markers, a yarn needle, scissors, a tape measure and pins. The Daisy needs one 20 mm button; the Cherry needs a little washable stuffing. A liner uses prewashed woven cotton and sewing supplies.
At gauge, the empty opening width x body height is about: Tulip 26.5 x 20 cm; Daisy 23.5 x 18 cm; Teddy 25 x 18 cm; Cherry 23.5 x 19.5 cm before gathering. Tulip has an oval base about 23 x 6.5 cm. Teddy has an oval base about 22 x 5.5 cm. Cherry has a circular base about 15 cm across. Heights exclude handles, ears and flowers.
Handle or strap drops above the rim are about: Tulip 13.5 cm, Daisy 31.5 cm, Teddy 31.5 cm and Cherry 29.5 cm above its frill. Measure straight up from the rim to the top of the handle or strap. The shape can change when carried. The Teddy top stays open, with no zip.
A digital PDF crochet pattern only. No finished bag, yarn, button, eyes or fabric is included. Hand wash gently, reshape and dry flat.
