Materials: matte sport or light DK cotton, a 2.5-3.0 mm hook, polyester fibrefill, black embroidery thread, pink cheek yarn, tapestry needle, scissors, markers, pins and ruler. No metal bell, wire, beads or rigid inserts are needed.

Skill: intermediate. Techniques include continuous sc rounds, turned rows, increases, invisible decreases, loop stitch, a small dc scallop, secure fringe knots, embroidery and sewing.

Size: 10-13 cm sitting for each animal at the stated gauge, including its highest sewn feature. Approximate front widths are 8.1-9.0 cm, excluding tails. Yarn, gauge, filling and assembly affect the final size.

Faces use embroidered dot eyes and blush. Optional safety eyes must be fitted securely; if used, keep the toy away from children under 3 because of small parts. Check seams, loops, fringe and accessories regularly. Spot-clean gently and air dry.
