One little bunny, ten outfits for every season

Build a tiny wardrobe around one sitting bunny with upright ears, contrast inner ears, a round head, a pear-shaped body and a pompom tail. Dot eyes, a pink nose and soft blush give the bunny a gentle face. Choose Easter Bunny, Flower Bunny, Rainy Day Bunny, Sleepy Bunny, Picnic Bunny, Sailor Bunny, Autumn Bunny, Christmas Bunny, Ballerina Bunny or Carrot Bunny.

  • Counted overalls with an egg-shaped pocket; a sundress and daisy crown; a yellow raincoat, separate hood and wellies; pyjamas and a nightcap.
  • A gingham picnic dress and tiny basket; sailor clothes and a hat; a ribbed autumn sweater and scarf; a red sweater with white trim and a Santa hat; a tutu and bow; an orange carrot costume hood with green leaves.
  • All ten outfit sets are removable. Garments close with back ties; hoods and pointed caps have sewn openings for the upright ears. Trims stay sewn to the clothes.

Materials: sport or light DK matte cotton, a 2.5-3.0 mm hook chosen to achieve gauge, polyester fibrefill, embroidery yarn or thread, tapestry and embroidery needles, scissors, removable stitch markers, pins, a ruler and card for pompoms. The default eyes are embroidered dots. A pair of 5 mm safety eyes is optional. Yarn ties are included in the instructions; no buttons or wire are required.

Skill: intermediate. Techniques include continuous sc rounds, turned rows, increases, decreases, BLO ribbing, small colour blocks, dc ruffles, sewing and pompoms. The red sweater is crocheted with a knit-look texture; no knitting is required.

Size: about 14-16 cm sitting, including the upright ears, at 26 sc and 28 sc rows or rounds per 10 cm. Hats are folded below the ear tips. Yarn, filling, seams and tension affect the finished size.

Make one bunny and change its clothes, or repeat the base for a whole group. These small figures and removable accessories are decorative collectibles. Spot clean gently and air dry. If safety eyes are used, keep the figure away from children under 3. Keep small accessories and yarn ties away from young children.
