Materials: matte cotton in sport or DK weight, a 2.5-3.0 mm hook adjusted to gauge, polyester fibrefill, black embroidery thread, needles, scissors, markers, pins and ruler. The Christmas collar has an optional 6 mm metal jingle bell inside a crochet cover.
Skill: intermediate. Techniques include continuous sc rounds, turned rows, increases, decreases, colour changes, a three-dc bobble and sewing.
Size: about 11-13 cm sitting at 28 sc and 32 rows or rounds per 10 cm, including upright ears or antlers. The standard nominal height is about 11.9 cm; the longer Dachshund is about 12.5 cm. Yarn, gauge, filling and assembly affect final size.
Embroidered dot eyes are the standard finish. If optional safety eyes are used, keep away from children under 3. Keep small sewn parts, cords and the optional bell away from young children and pets. Spot clean gently and air dry.
Digital crochet instructions only; no finished puppies, yarn, tools, filling or bell are included.
