Twenty-one big mouth key pouches, one crochet PDF
Crochet a little character with a mouth big enough to swallow your keys. A strap runs from a ball on top of the head, down inside and out through the mouth: pull the key ring and the keys come out, pull the ball and they slide back inside. A small loop at the back of the head hangs it on a bag strap or a hook. The PDF has 21 characters: Curly Mop, Lion, Frog, Cat, Bear, Bunny, Panda, Pig, Fox, Koala, Mouse, Penguin, Chick, Owl, Dino, Unicorn, Cow, Monster, Alien, Bee and Strawberry.
Pattern details
- 21 patterns in one 41-page English PDF.
- US crochet terms with a UK conversion table.
- Linked contents, PDF bookmarks, and a counted table for every round of the body, the lip, the strap, the ball and every extra part.
- One body, mouth and strap for every character, so you learn it once and make any of them.
- A page for each character with its colours, its parts and where they go.
- Diagrams of the mouth opening, the hair ridges, where the parts go and how the pull-out strap works.
Materials: DK cotton in the colours on each character's page, a 3.0 mm hook, small black beads or safety eyes for the pupils, a little fibrefill for the ball, a split key ring, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker and craft glue. Confident beginner: joined rounds, a chain bridge for the mouth and small sewn parts.
Size: every pouch is about 9.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide, pressed flat and without legs, at the stated gauge. Your yarn and tension set the final size.
A key pouch is an accessory, not a toy: keep it and its key ring out of reach of babies and young children. Digital crochet instructions only; no finished pouch or yarn is included.
