Materials: DK cotton, a 2.5 mm hook, tapestry needle, scissors, removable markers, pins and measuring tape. Small gathered parts can use their starting tails as padding; a wisp of polyester fibrefill is optional. Add a 15 mm split ring and a small lobster clasp for each keychain. Twine and ribbon options use soft ties.
Skill: Confident beginner. Techniques include turned rows, small spiral rounds, increases, decreases, one-top bobbles, simple stripes, rolled roses, flat seams and dot-eye embroidery. Gnomes have no eyes; the other character faces use simple dots and no mouths.
Size: about 10-12 cm tall and 7.5 cm wide at the stated gauge, excluding the yarn hanger, split ring and clasp. Minis fit within a 3.5 cm working envelope. Your yarn, gauge and assembly determine the final measurements.
The same flat-backed piece can hang on a tree, be sewn to a brooch pin back or be glued to a craft magnet. This is an accessory or decoration, not a toy. Keep small parts, safety eyes, pins, magnets, hardware and loose yarn loops away from young children and pets. Digital crochet instructions only; no finished bouquets, yarn or hardware are included.
