Twenty-one pets and woodland big mouth key pouches, one crochet PDF
Crochet a pet or woodland character with a mouth big enough to swallow your keys. A closed strap runs from a ball on the crown, down inside the hollow pouch and out through the mouth: pull the key ring to bring the keys out, then pull the ball to tuck them back inside. A separate Hanging Loop at the back hangs the pouch on a bag strap or a hook.

Materials: DK cotton in the colours on each character's page, a 3.0 mm hook, two small black beads or safety eyes for pupils (or embroidery yarn), a little fibrefill for the ball and selected small parts, a split key ring, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker and craft glue. Confident beginner: joined rounds, a chain bridge for the mouth, colour changes, turned rows and small sewn parts.
Size: each shared body is about 9.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide, pressed flat and without limbs or added parts, at the stated gauge. Ears, coats, tails and other additions change the overall outline. Your yarn and tension set the final size.
A key pouch is an accessory, not a toy: keep it and its key ring out of reach of babies and young children. Digital crochet instructions only; no finished pouch or yarn is included.
