Wonderful holiday project, super easy to follow

Love how modular this pattern is. Working flat pieces makes tension control so much easier than working in the round. Took about 4-5 hours per stocking while watching TV. Appliques take a little bit of time to stitch on, but the final heirloom look is 100% worth it.

Made all 3 characters for my grandkids

I bought this pattern to make matching stockings for my three grandkids. Once I mastered the 4-rectangle base on the Santa one, whipping up the other two was a breeze. Applique instructions and placement diagrams were clear and accurate. Highly recommend!

Huge, sturdy mantel stockings!

These stockings are genuinely full-sized! At 43 cm long and 18 cm wide, they can hold plenty of holiday goodies without stretching out of shape. The worsted single crochet creates a dense, durable fabric. The Snowman applique is by far my favorite—so cheerful and cute!

Making the entire stocking from flat rectangles sounded too good to be true, but it comes together like a charm! Those two shaping rows at the toe give it the perfect curve without any complicated heel turns. My Reindeer stocking turned out gorgeous and hangs beautifully on our fireplace.
