Three hanging spinners that turn on their own in a draught — a rainbow of five stuffed balls, a cloud raining four stuffed drops, and a crescent moon with four stars falling below it. All three are the same build: stuffed shapes threaded down a 60 cm cord with one long crocheted band coiling around them in an open helix. The helix is not shaped by hand and there is no wire, no hoop and no hardware anywhere in it — two double crochet worked into every stitch along one long edge make that edge twice the length of the other, and the band has nowhere to go but around. Learn the band once and the three are a change of colour and a change of what hangs inside it.
