Pattern details
  • 4 designs in one 29-page English PDF; every design makes two cats.
  • One shared oval standing base, slim cone body, oval head, short muzzle, pointed ears and long wired tail.
  • A shared two-face heart, plus counted Santa hats, pompoms, striped candy cane, scarf, mesh veil, flower crown, three-rose bouquet and bow tie.
  • White tuxedo bib and paws worked in colour changes; five counted calico appliqué patches and round-by-round surface tabby stripes.
  • Two pages per pair, colour plans, sewing notes, front and above assembly drawings, US terms with UK conversion, linked contents, care and troubleshooting.

Materials: DK cotton, a 3.0 mm hook, fibrefill, embroidery thread, sewing tools, covered card or plastic base inserts and smooth flexible craft wire with folded, padded ends in cloth sleeves. Optional poly pellets are enclosed in separately sewn double fabric pouches. Per-colour yarn buying allowances are included for each pair and the whole set.

Skill: confident beginner. Techniques include continuous rounds, increases, invisible decreases, turned rows, simple crochet mesh, colour changes, surface slip stitch, embroidery and sewing. All eyes and noses are embroidered; there are no safety eyes and no mouth.

Size: about 20-24 cm tall per cat at the stated gauge; the arranged height allowance is about 23.0 cm, or 23.4 cm with the folded Christmas hat. Each oval base is about 8.8 cm long and 8.0 cm wide on its short axis. Tails measure about 23.9 cm along the tube before curling. Yarn, tension, filling and assembly affect finished size.

A decoration and keepsake, not a toy. Wire and pellets make these cats unsuitable for children and pets. Each cat has its own standing base; optional small sewing tacks can connect the pair. Spot clean only and keep dry.
