Materials: DK cotton with a 2.5 mm hook for keychains and baubles, and a 3.5 mm hook for coasters; worsted cotton or cotton-acrylic with a 3.5 mm hook for shelf gnomes; worsted / Aran weight acrylic or cotton with 4.5 mm and 3.5 mm hooks for door hangers; worsted / Aran cotton or acrylic with 5.0 mm and 4.0 mm hooks for pillow covers and blankets; light fingering / 4-ply cotton or size 3 crochet thread with a 2.5 mm hook for doilies. Adjust to the separate gauges; yarn quantities vary by project, design, colour and size.

Usual tools include a yarn needle, scissors, markers, pins and a tape measure.
