Two flat house-shaped panels sewn back to back with a little stuffing between them, so the gable is worked into the wall itself — five decrease rows narrowing twelve stitches to two — rather than sitting on top of a box. The roof is one strip folded at the ridge and sewn down both slopes, and it is cut long on purpose so it overhangs at each eave.
