A straight-sided mug, not a tapered takeaway cup — the wall is worked with no increases at all above the back-loop round, and that is the whole difference between a mug and a paper cup. A brown disc drops in on top for the cocoa and three white bobbles sit on it, so the drink is a separate piece you can see down onto rather than a colour change in the wall.
Pattern details
What you get
- One 8-page PDF — the Hot Cocoa Mug pattern, written round by round
- Size reference: About 2.4 cm of mug wall, not full height, worked in DK / light worsted (#3) on a 2.5 mm hook
- US crochet terms, beginner friendly
- A stitch count at the end of every round — calculated from the pattern by script, never typed in by hand, so no round can contradict the one before it
- An abbreviations table giving the UK equivalent of every stitch, and technique notes — our dc is a UK treble, so read it first if you crochet in UK terms
- Instant download — the file is yours the moment you check out
