Materials: matte sport weight cotton, a 2.5 mm hook or the size needed for gauge, polyester fibrefill, black and pink embroidery thread, tapestry needle, scissors, removable stitch markers, pins and ruler. DK cotton may be used if it matches the stated gauge. All props use crochet, filling and sewn yarn details.
Skill: intermediate. Techniques include continuous single crochet rounds, turned rows, increases, invisible decreases, back-loop ribbing, colour changes, mixed-height stitches in the star, small-piece sewing and embroidery.
Size: about 10-12 cm sitting height and 7.6 cm across the relaxed flippers at 28 sc stitches and 28 rows or rounds per 10 cm. Height includes the hats folded as instructed or the skate soles and blades. The small tree sits beside its penguin. Yarn, gauge, filling and assembly affect the final size.
These are shelf decorations with small sewn parts and cords. Keep small parts away from young children. Optional 5 mm safety eyes may replace embroidery; if used, keep away from children under 3. Spot clean gently and air dry.
