Materials vary by collection: sport to DK cotton, with smooth sport cotton or acrylic also allowed for Christmas Duck. Crochet hooks range from 2.5 to 4.0 mm; the Grey Tabby scarf also uses 2.75 mm knitting needles. Use the yarn weight, hook, gauge and allowances in your chosen book. Prepare stuffing, embroidery thread, a yarn needle, scissors and markers. Some designs need buttons, bells, covered wire or inserts. Yarn quantities and skill requirements vary.

Sizes are approximate at the separate gauges. Yarn, tension, filling, seams and blocking affect the finished dimensions. Cat Couple includes four pair designs; each design makes two cats. These wired, optionally weighted shelf decorations are unsuitable for children and pets.
